Numerous pilgrims spoke to us in the last few days and shared their experience of Medjugorje. We had opportunity to meet a group of 27 pilgrims who walked for three days from Rama, Bosnia. Each of them came with their own personal problem, their vows and desires and all wanted to give humble and persevering prayers to Gospa, to thank Her for all of the gifts they received.

Guido and Livia, married couple from Rome and Maurizio and Mario, their friends arrived to Medjugorje after eight days of walking. They began their journey in the shrine of Divine Mercy in Rome, then to Vatican, Pescara, Ancona, Split, Makarska and Humac, where they joined the Peace Walk with many other pilgrims. Guido said that this is their fourth time to come to Medjugorje as pilgrims and he decided for this together with his wife Livia, after they came many times here with organised groups of pilgrims.

On June 25, 2015, Medjugorje celebrated the 34th Anniversary of Gospa’s apparitions. According to the Information Office, numerous pilgrims were in Medjugorje in those days and they registered groups from Italy, Slovakia, Ireland, the United States, Germany, Austria, Hungary, France, England, Korea, Slovenia, Ukraine, China, Poland, Portugal, Brazil, Czech Republic, Mexico, Canada, Lebanon and Vietnam. 22 Holy Masses were celebrated during that day with numerous pilgrims who walked from all over the area. The visionary Ivanka Ivankovic-Elez had her regular annual apparition on June 25th 2015.
At her last daily apparition on May 7, 1985, Our Lady confided to Ivanka the 10th secret and told her that she would have an apparition once a year on the anniversary of the apparitions. It was that way also this year.
The apparition, which lasted 4 minutes, took place at Ivanka’s family home. Only Ivanka’s family was present at the apparition. After the apparition, Ivanka said: "Our Lady gave us her motherly blessing and said: Peace, peace, peace."

34th Anniversary of Gospa’s apparitions was solemnly celebrated in Medjugorje on Thursday, June 25, 2015, and many pilgrims from all continents arrived to be here. Many of them arrived walking so they would fulfil their promises and vows given to the Queen of Peace, as well as to thank for all of the graces they had received. We met Anica Cuic, from Tomislavgrad, who walked from Tomislavgrad for 28 hours to Medjugorje.

Stipo Lubar, 59 years old man born in Bugojno in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but lives in Austria at the moment, walked with his wife and son from Bugojno for the Anniversary of Gospa’s apparitions. Their pilgrimage lasted for more than three days and they arrived on the Eve of Anniversary, on June 24, 2015. The 24th Peace Walk was held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 on the Feast of St. John the Baptist and on the eve of the 34th Anniversary of Gospa’s apparitions. After 70 days of walking, a group of five pilgrims arrived to Medjugorje on Friday, June 19, 2015. They came to Medjugorje with a special type of trollies where they had 3 meters tall image of Divine Mercy Jesus. Pilgrims are coming to Medjugorje in various ways and by various means. In these days, prior to the 34th Anniversary of Gospa’s apparitions, we had chance to talk to Radek Nikolic, 48 years old man from Krizevci, who arrived to Medjugorje on June 22, 2015, after 5 days of travelling and 600 kilometres behind him.

Medjugorje will celebrate the 34th Anniversary of Gospa’s apparitions on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Holy Masses in Croatian language will be in the parish church at 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and the solemn Holy Mass will be at 7 p.m. The programme will continue at 10 p.m. with the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 7 a.m. on the following day. We kindly ask all drivers around Herzegovina to be very careful due to all those who will be walking to Medjugorje.

Father Giuseppe Piva from Vicenza visited Medjugorje recently. He began his priesthood with the Franciscans of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, but because of his health difficulties he had to leave that order and he is now active as the Diocesan priest in Palestrina, close to Rome. On Wednesday, June 24, 2015, on the Feast of Nativity of St. John the Baptist, we are celebrating the Eve of Gospa’s apparitions in Medjugorje. As it is tradition, the Peace Walk will start from shrine of St. Anthony in Humac at 6 a.m. and the arrival in front of the parish church will be around 10 a.m. We invite all parishioners, pilgrims and especially the youth, to join us in this prayer. Holy Masses in Croatian language will be held at 7, 8, 11 and 7 p.m. Rosary on Apparition Hill will not take place.

May pilgrims are arriving to Medjugorje in this period of Novena to the Queen of Peace, and among them we had chance to meet Siniša Pucić from Rijeka, Croatia. He is at the moment a Franciscan postulant in Samobor, close to Zagreb, Croatia. He spoke to us about his life in the monastery and about the influence of Medjugorje on his vocation.

Novena for the Anniversary began on June 15, 2015 and many groups of pilgrims along with numerous parishioners are climbing Apparition Hill every day. Rosary on Apparition Hill is at 4 p.m. every day and Franciscans from Medjugorje are leading this prayer. The evening prayer programme begins at 6 p.m. with the Rosary that is led by parishioners, and Holy Mass at 7 p.m. with the Franciscans who were at one point of their service related to Medjugorje.

Musician Dorijan Škrobonja, a pilgrim from Rijeka, had a special experience of Gospa’s nearness in Medjugorje. After that extraordinary event, he composed a song devoted to Mary, called: “Beneath Thee, O Mother”. This is what he told us about his experience of Medjugorje: “I came here for the first time in 1987-1988, with my parents, as I come from the Catholic family and my parents taught me about the faith and the Mother of God from my early childhood.
