Dear brothers and sisters, parishioners, pilgrims, dear friends of Medjugorje connected with Gospa all over the world through her words, all of you who opened to her and her messages of peace and prayer, I am greeting you all from the depth of my heart and I wish to extend few words to you.
The Lent is behind us and Easter is about to come. This is invitation to all of us to have Easter within us, a bit particular this year than normally. Exactly at this time of pandemic of coronavirus, when we no longer have the holy Eucharist, prayers in the church, sacrament of confession, this time is the time of silence, the time to enter within ourselves and allow our Lord to transform us.

dear brother Franciscans in Europe,
brothers and sister,
Our Union – UFME OFM has been talking about its project Europe for two decades already. There has been a lot of undertakings in a variety of aspects within our Provinces and Custodies throughout Europe. In fact, this is true from our graceful beginnings when the Gospel became the forma vitae in our fraternal mission. Let us remind ourselves of our Franciscan past in Europe. How quickly Cis and Transmontania developed into respected Franciscan fraternities even during our Seraphic father’s lifetime, displaying great joy and mutual encouragement (Rb. 6). As early as the 13th century key Franciscans flooded Europe with their work, intellect, spirit, their tried and pure words, for the benefit and building of the people (Rb. 9). The brothers immediately recognized Francis extraordinary love for “God’s written words”, and from that love sprang numerous universities all across Europe, marked by names such as Alexander of Hales, Bonaventure of Bagnoregio, Pietro di Giovanni Olivi, Duns Scott, William Ockham, and many others.

Brothers and sisters,
The social life as it was interrupted in the whole world. We live painful and surreal time in which, along with changing many life habits, we had to give up regular life and meeting other people, spending time with them, as well as Eucharistic celebrations. Surely, the most painful is the “eucharistic fasting”, sacrifice required from us only in love towards the other.
More less, that is the picture of Medjugorje nowadays. Medjugorje is immersed in peace and fearful silence, paths of many pilgrims are nearly empty, accommodation homes and church is closed.

Have you no faith?” Dear brothers and sisters, from this place that tells of Peter’s rock-solid faith, I would like this evening to entrust all of you to the Lord, through the intercession of Mary, Health of the People and Star of the stormy Sea. From this colonnade that embraces Rome and the whole world, may God’s blessing come down upon you as a consoling embrace. Lord, may you bless the world, give health to our bodies and comfort our hearts. You ask us not to be afraid. Yet our faith is weak and we are fearful. But you, Lord, will not leave us at the mercy of the storm.

This time of pandemic, isolation and solitude is the time of faith! This is not the time to run from one church to the other, from one Holy Communion to the other, from one spiritual director to the other, from one seminar to the other.
This is the time of faith! Faith in God – that God is with us, that we are His beloved children that we live in Him, as St. Paul says. This is the time of entrusting ourselves, our lives, our families and other people to Jesus.

The visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo had daily apparitions from June 24th 1981 to December 25th 1982. During the last daily apparition, Our Lady gave her the 10th secret, and told her that she would appear to her once a year, on the 18th of March. It has been this way through the years. Archbishop Henryk Hoser, Bishop Emeritus of Warsaw – Prague, the Apostolic Visitor with the special role for the parish of Medjugorje, when he received a reward 'Bishop Roman Andrzejewski' after he was awarded for all his merits and efforts taken for the development of the Polish villages.
