The 36th Anniversary of Our Lady’s Apparitions

On Sunday, June 25^th, we will celebrate the 36^th Anniversary of Our Lady’s Apparitions. Holy Masses in Croatian language will be at 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 am, and the solemn Holy Mass will be at 7 pm. At 10 pm, the monthly whole-night Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will begin and the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed until 7 am on the following day.

Peace Walk

On Saturday, June 24, on the feast of St. John the Baptist, we celebrate the Eve of Our Lady’s Apparitions in Medjugorje. Traditionally, each year, we will meet outside the monastery of St. Anthony in Humac and begin the walk there. Pilgrims are to arrive outside the St. James’ church at 10 am.

Spiritual preparation in Medjugorje – Novena to the Queen of Peace

Nearly all the time there are pilgrims climbing the Apparition Hill and praying before the Statue of Our Lady there. Each afternoon, from June 15-23, there is Rosary there at 4 pm. During the day, Holy Masses are celebrated in different languages, and the evening prayer programme starts with the Rosary at 6 pm. Many pilgrims will come for this Anniversary on their feet to Medjugorje and many are coming in these days before the Anniversary.

Approaching the 36th Anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions: Peace Walk Humac – Međugorje, June 24, 2017

Peace Walk is a walk of prayer held from Humac to Medjugorje and initiated in 1992. Ever since that year, it is held each year on the Feast of St. John the Baptist, the eve of Our Lady’s Apparitions. In the beginning, the priests carried the Blessed Sacrament, later on the Statue of Our Lady and now they carry crucifix, while all others are praying and walking behind.

The 7th International Pilgrimage of Families held in Medjugorje

The 7^th International Pilgrimage of Families was held in Medjugorje from June 16-18, 2017, organised by the Association „Kup Karmel“ from Zagreb. Robert Rukavina organised this pilgrimage in 2010, for the first time, after he had tried organisation of several other pilgrimages with his Association.

Participants talk about the International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities

At the 6^th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities, held in Medjugorje in these days that finished on June 18, Sr. Marija Klara Klarić from the Merciful Sisters of St. Cross from Djakovo. Sr. Marija Klara, accompanies persons with disabilities along with Sr. Rastislava, and she has been coming to Medjugorje for the last nine years.

Sacrament of Holy Confirmation in Medjugorje

66 young boys and girls, students of the eight grade, 39 girls and 27 boys, received the sacrament of the Holy Confirmation on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Mons. The 6th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities began in Medjugorje

The 6^th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities began in Medjugorje on Thursday, June 15, 2017 by the gathering and the evening prayer programme held at the White Dome of St. James' church. Fr. Slavko Soldo led the prayer of the Rosary, while Fr. Ante Vuckovic, celebrated the solemn Holy Mass, with 41 priests concelebrating. (photos)

Feast of Corpus Christi – Procession

Fr. Ante Vuckovic, with 41 priests concelebrating, celebrated the solemn Holy Mass on the Feast of Corpus Christi. Fr. Slavko Soldo led the prayer of the Rosary. As in the previous years, the procession with the Blessed Sacrament followed on the streets of Medjugorje with many priests, religious and nuns, parishioners and pilgrims.  (photos)

Cardinal Ernest Simoni at the evening Holy Mass in Medjugorje

Fr. Marinko Sakota had opportunity to welcome one truly special guest at the end of Holy Mass on Tuesday, June 13, celebrated by Fr. Iko Skoko with 24 priests concelebrating. This was Cardinal Ernest Simoni from Albania, who suffered great deal during the time of the communist regime in Albania.

The 6^th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities will be held in Medjugorje from June 15 – 18, 2017. Gathering and accommodation of pilgrims in homes of the parishioners shall take place on Thursday, June 15.

International Seminars and Pilgrimages to Medjugorje

The 6^th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities will be held from June 15-18 in Medjugorje. More than 1800 persons registered for this Pilgrimage. We know that parishioners are providing the accommodation for free, during this pilgrimage, which is really beautiful gesture. We are inviting again all parishioners who are available to receive pilgrims, to sign up in Information Office, as soon as they can.

Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity in Medjugorje

Next Sunday, June 11, we will celebrate the feast of the Most Holy Trinity. Holy Masses in the parish church are at 7, 8, 9.30, 11 am and 7 pm. Holy Masses in local churches in hamlets Vionica and Miletina will be at 9 am. Holy Mass and blessing of fields will be at 11 am at cemetery of the Most Holy Trinity in Surmanci at 11 am.
