The 7th International Pilgrimage of Families held in Medjugorje

date: 18.06.2017.

The 7th International Pilgrimage of Families was held in Medjugorje from June 16-18, 2017, organised by the Association „Kup Karmel“ from Zagreb. Robert Rukavina organised this pilgrimage in 2010, for the first time, after he had tried organisation of several other pilgrimages with his Association.

This is what Mr. Rukavina said about this pilgrimage: „When I started organising these pilgrimages I was able to see that people return home different, full of emotions and they all want to change their lives. Usually women would be participating and their husbands would not be able to understand what happened to them there. After I organised pilgrimage for bikers, my best man suggested to me that we should do something for families, so they would experience spiritual renewal in Medjugorje. That is how we organised the first pilgrimage of families in 2010, it was small, one bus. But ever since the last year and also this year too, we have families from Philippines, India and Austria, families who work in Austria. We have one bus from Slovenia, six buses from Croatia, and families from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as families from Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are about 400 participants, 200 children.”
