Spiritual retreat for priests in Medjugorje will take place for the 26th time from July 3 to 7, 2023. The theme of this spiritual retreat, like all other spiritual retreats this year in Medjugorje, is "Here are my mother and my brothers!" (Mt 12, 49) "In Our Lady's School".

At the last daily apparition to Jakov Colo on September 12th, 1998, Our Lady told him that henceforth he would have one apparition a year, every December 25th, on Christmas Day. This is also how it was this year. The apparition began at 2:18 pm and lasted 8 minutes. Our Lady came with little Jesus in her arms. Through Jakov, Our Lady gave the following message: Today, when the light of Jesus' birth is illuminating the entire world, in a special way, with Jesus in my arms, I am praying that every heart becomes a stable of Bethlehem, in which my Son will be born, so that your lives become a light of His birth. Little children, you live in peacelessness and fear. That is why, little children, today, on this day of grace, implore Jesus to strengthen your faith and to become the ruler of your lives; because, my children, only with Jesus in your lives will you not be looking at peacelessness but praying for peace and will live in peace; and you will not be looking at fear but at Jesus Who frees us of all fears. I am your Mother who ceaselessly keeps vigil over you and I am blessing you with my Motherly blessing.

With his birth, Jesus mysteriously united heaven and earth. Thus, a wonderful exchange of the heavenly and the earthly took place. He took our mortal body in order to give us heavenly incorruptibility through it. This is the source of our Christmas joy. As we give gifts to each other this Christmas, may our hearts reflect on that wonderful exchange, on that great Gift, on the Son of God, who became Emmanuel – God is With Us.

Francis came to love the person of Jesus, precisely in his embodiment and humility, identifying with the excluded and the little ones, whom Jesus calls "the least of these" (Mt 25:40). Francis followed Christ, therefore Francis was followed by many. Those who follow Him are followed! Francis visibly brought the first nativity scene back to life, today the whole world brings it back to life at Christmas.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Medjugorje seminar was held in Knock. It is being organized by the Irish Council for Medjugorje, which has existed for 35 years and whose main mission is to spread the messages of the Queen of Peace.

The Holy Mass was presided over by the bishop of the Diocese of Rancagua in Chile, Msgr. Guillermo Vera Soto, at which Fr. Danko Perutina concelebrated, and this is how the two-day spiritual exercises for priests ended and the 1st National Congress of the Queen of Peace in Chile began.
