„I feel something very powerful in Međugorje, I believe God is here”

Our journalists had opportunity to talk to many pilgrims in the last few months. One of them wasLayousse, young man from Israel who came here during the Youth Festival. “Young people are here and they are members of the prayer groups, while the leader of our group is the representative of one Israelite prayer movement in Vatican.

March for Life from Mostar to Medjugorje

The prayer pro-life initiative «40 days for life» was held for the first time in Mostar from September 23 to November 1, 2015. The organisation team of this initiative shared with us their testimony about all of the graces they received while they prayed and spent time together outside the Clinical Hospital in Bijeli Brijeg, Mostar.

First time in Medjugorje

Fr. John Michael Fillie is 71 and even though he was born as Muslim, he is today a Catholic priest. Recently, he came to Medjugorje for the first time and gave interview at our radio station. He is a spiritan priest and a missionary. He is the youngest of 18 children in his family: „When I was ten years old I became Christian and after I completed high school, I decided to become a priest.

Pilgrims from Imotski came to Medjugorje

The parish of St. Francis has been organising pilgrimages from Imotski to Medjugorje. Their pilgrimage took place this year on Saturday, October 17, 2015: „Our parish comes twice a year to Medjugorje, once in a Lent and the other time in October. This time, 90 of us came here and we were led by our assistant parish priest Fr. Zoran Kutlesa.

Walked from France to Medjugorje

Married couple, Mariane Arnauld, 68 and Jean de Franssu, 69 from Arras, town at the north of France, walked to Medjugorje, after two months walk that began on August 18. This is what two of them said in the programme of radio station Mir Medjugorje: „This trip was not easy at all, but having had confidence in Divine Providence, it all turned out to be in the best order.

Pilgrimage to Medjugorje

The parishioners of parish Prelog came to Medjugorje on a pilgrimage on October 11&12, this year. They were accompanied by their assistant parish priestFr. Karlo Šimek. The first prayer was in the morning of the first day on Cross Mountain.

Pilgrimage „Marian vow for Homeland“

Around 800 pilgrims of the first pilgrimage called „Marian vow for Homeland“ had walked in 70 days in weekly stages 1600 kilometres from the east to the south of Croatia. They are planning to make routes for walk, something like paths for pilgrims, that people would be able to take in the future throughout the year.

Premiere of documentary „40” in Međugorje

The premiere of documentary “40” was held in Medjugorje on Thursday, October 22 at 8 p.m. when more than 300 pro-life supporters gathered, including some of the Medjugorje pilgrims from English speaking countries.

Fifty-one members of the prayer group „Merciful Jesus” from Đakovo came on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje recently. It was only a few years ago that they started to organise pilgrimages to Medjugorje. The participants of this pilgrimage took part in the evening prayer programme and they also climbed hills of Medjugorje.

Theatre play „Učiteljice” (Teachers) in Međugorju

The actors of Croatian Culture and Art Society  „Didak” from the parish of Gradnići will perform in theatre play „Učiteljice”,  this Tuesday, October 20, at 8 p.m. in the Hall of St. John Paul II in Medjugorje. The entrance is free. The text for the play was written by professor Dragan Komadina, while the play director is Robert Pehar, member of Croatian Theatre Association Mostar.

Pilgrimages from Croatia to Međugorje

Ever since the beginning of October, month devoted to Our Lady, many groups of pilgrims have arrived to Medjugorje from neighbouring Croatia. We would like to emphasise the pilgriimage of Association of St. Vincent de Paul from Croatia, that organised meeting and pilgrimage for all of its members from October 9-11.

Premiere of documentary „40“ in Međugorje

Premiere of documentary  „40“, made by pro-life initiative „40 days for life“ is going to be held in Medjugorje, on Thursday, October 22, at 8 p.m. in the Hall of St. John Paul II, who was great fighter for the life and the unborn. The abortions were legalised in 1973 in the United States, all with the motto of „Women's rights“.

Andrea Bianco: „I would likes many people to experience graces I received in Međugorje“

Andrea Bianco, 45-years old pilgrim from Bolzano, town at the north of Italy, visited Medjugorje in the last few days. He was a guest at the radio station „Mir“ Međugorje and shared the story of his life with us. When he was 21, he had very severe car accident and lost his sight. He said that it was through the grace of God that he survived.

Concert of the Musical School of Pavle Markovac from Zagreb held in Medjugorje

The students of the Musical School of Pavle Markovac from Zagreb, held their concert on Thursday, October 8, at the Hall of St. John Paul II, as a part of the cultural event 12th Days of Fr. Didak Buntic. Their guests at the concert were students of the Elementary Musical School Brotnjo, as well as the YouFra choir.  (photos)
