Walked from Poland to Medjugorje

date: 24.06.2015.

After 70 days of walking, a group of five pilgrims arrived to Medjugorje on Friday, June 19, 2015. They came to Medjugorje with a special type of trollies where they had 3 meters tall image of Divine Mercy Jesus. Roman, one of the pilgrims said in his interview that their journey is from Medjugorje to Rome: „We began our pilgrimage on April 12, 2015, and together with this image we are bringing on trollies all of our personal belongings and a tent. We are a part of the group that travels around the world and there are 25 of us. We went to Holy Land, Montenegro, Fatima and it was all by foot. We also walked over Cuba and our intention is to visit all places that are in need of Divine Mercy, which is why we call ourselves Divine Mercy pilgrims. Medjugorje is a very important place for us Polish people, especially in this period. We plan to go to Rome from here and one Polish bishop told us that Holy Father is aware of our mission. We hope to see him in person and we would like to give him this image and return to Poland then. We are praying for all persecuted Christians in the world and for the conversion of those who are persecuting them.“
