May is a month which is dedicated to Our Lady in a special way and we are all invited to participate a little more in the evening prayer programme, in the prayer of the Rosary and Holy Mass, so we might thank God for all of the graces we have received. The timetable of the evening prayer programme in May remains the same: the Rosary is at 5 p.m. and Holy Mass at 6 p.m.

We are getting closer to the Fourth Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities which will be held in Medjugorje from June 11-14, 2015. The main organiser of the pilgrimage is the Association "Susret" (Encounter), from Citluk, in cooperation with the parish office in Medjugorje and Mother's Village.
The period after Easter is always busy with many pilgrims and our journalist had the chance to talk to a few interesting speakers. Fr. John Fletcher is a member of the community "Friends of the Cross", which is established in Canada. He has been a priest for 14 years now and this is his 11th or 12th pilgrimage to Medjugorje.
The Totus Tuus prayer community has organised the first camp for boys, which was held in Medjugorje from April 24-26, 2015. The prayer community is active in the Franciscan church of Sts. Peter and Paul in Mostar. Damir Musa, a representative of the Totus Tuus community, said that their community had held two camps for girls which proved to be very successful. (photos)
The famous Italian water-polo player, Alex Giorgetti, visited Medjugorje with his national water-polo team and other players. He told us that it was one of his greatest desires to bring his players here, so they would experience the peace and humility which can only be felt here. Alex continued: “I came for the first time to Medjugorje in 2011, after we won the World Championship and I wanted to come to thank the Queen of Peace.
Mons. Salvador Pineiro Garcia-Calderon, an archbishop from Peru, was in Medjugorje recently. This is his second visit. He arrived here in 2003, for the first time. In his interview for our radio station, Mir Medjugorje, he told us:
Fr. Damir Pavić and YouFra members, 45 of them, who are about to receive the sacrament of Confirmation visited Medjugorje on Sunday, April 19. The purpose of the pilgrimage was spiritual renewal and preparation, with Mary’s intercession, for the sacrament of Confirmation.
The Order of Malta reopened their clinic in Medjugorje on Palm Sunday. Their hours are from 9 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and from 3.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. They will continue to work until November 1, 2015. All of the staff are volunteers who do not charge pilgrims for their services and the clinic is financed through contributions and donations.
Pilgrims from all over the world have visited Medjugorje this April. Due to the large number of those who arrived and thanks to the beautiful weather, the evening prayer programme has been held at the White Dome of the church of St. James since Saturday, April 11.
There are many international seminars held in Medjugorje throughout the year, including the regular seminars of fasting and prayer. Some of these seminars have a long tradition and some were initiated only in recent years. They are for priests, lay people, leaders of peace centres, married couples and doctors and medical staff.
The Italian national water polo team was in Medjugorje, the day after they lost a game in Split against Croatia. Their coach, Alessandro Campagna, said he was really happy to be in Medjugorje with his players since he thinks that it was the Gospa who invited them to come at the initiative of one of the players, Alex Giorgetti.
The members of the community "Heart of Jesus" from Zagreb were in Medjugorje this last weekend. They participated in the evening prayer programme in the parish and climbed both hills in Medjugorje. The spiritual leader of this community, which has more than 500 members, is Fr. Ike Manduric, and the leader of the community is the musician Alan Hržica.
A large number of Slovenian pilgrims have been in Medjugorje during the past few days. Fr. Miodrag Kekić, is the assistant priest in the parish of Ljubljana Dravlje. He has been to Medjugorje on several occasions with pilgrims and he told us something about his experience: “Medjugorje means so much to me; this is where we have received a huge grace. I was 16 when I came here for the first time with my parents.
The members of the Catholic association “Emmaus” from Sarajevo arrived on Saturday, April 11, in Medjugorje on a pilgrimage to the Queen of Peace. Since Medjugorje is known as the confessional of the whole world, many of them took advantage of the opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation.
