Two Croats from Gradisce, 76-years old Richard Markovich and 62-years old Karl Leeb, both retired and living in Baumgarten in Austria, walked for 700 kilometers in 17 days and finally arrived to Medjugorje. They spoke about their experiences on this pilgrimage in the programme of Radio „Mir“ Medjugorje. They began this trip in early morning on April 21 and arrived to Medjugorje in late afternoon on May 7, 2017. (photos)

Humanitarian Association “Mary’s Hands” was founded in July 2016, in Medjugorje, with the purpose of helping to the poor and all those in need of help. Prior to establishment of the Association, these members were active in Medjugorje for three years in office for those in need. (photos)

Married couple Kristina and Zvonimir Barač come from the Croatian Catholic Mission Zürich in Switzerland. They have five children from 6 months to 10 years of age, and Kristina came to live there in the beginning of the homeland war here. They spoke on our radio Mir and shared the story of their conversion in Medjugorje, how their life of faith began when their first child was born and how they came with him here.

Croatian musician Marija Husar, together with Alan Hržica and Petar Buljan, led prayer and worship celebration on April 22, at the White Dome of St. James’ church in Medjugorje. Marija was our guest in the radio programme of radio Mir Medjugorje and she spoke about her experience of Medjugorje, as she has been coming here since 2004.

Fraternity “Marian Vow for Homeland”, founded by the youth and former soldiers, began their first pilgrimage called “Marian Vow for Homeland” in 2015. This pilgrimage shall pass through the most of the Marian shrines from the east to the south of Croatia, and they will also walk for a part of their journey in Bosnia and Herzegovina, through Medjugorje.

Snježana Ćurić from Livno is a member of the prayer community “Let us grow in the Lord”. She said that she was coming to Medjugorje as a child and now tries to come here on a pilgrimage at least three or four times a year. This is her third time to participate at the Meeting held this year from April 19-23, 2017 in Medjugorje.

Branch church in Surmanci, one of the hamlets of Medjugorje parish, situated in the valley of river Neretva, was blessed on the feast of Divine Mercy, April 7, 2002 and it was consecrated to Merciful Jesus. When faithful from the area as well as pilgrims arriving to Medjugorje, found out about this little church in that village, they started to come there for Holy Masses.

„That your love may increase ever more (Phil 1, 9) „In Our Lady’s School“
The 5th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities will be held in Medjugorje from June 15 – 18, 2017. Gathering and accommodation of pilgrims in homes of the parishioners shall take place on Thursday, June 15. What makes this pilgrimage more unique, it is the fact that parishioners of Medjugorje parish offer free accommodation to the participants. The Organisation Board of the Pilgrimage, along with the representatives of the local communities Medjugorje and Bijakovici, has made some decisions last year and those shall remain in force also this year, as follows:
