The visionary Ivanka Ivankovic-Elez had her regular annual apparition on June 25th 2017.
At her last daily apparition on May 7, 1985, Our Lady confided to Ivanka the 10th secret and told her that she would have an apparition once a year on the anniversary of the apparitions. It was that way also this year.

Many pilgrims came walking to Medjugorje for the 36th Anniversary of Our Lady’s Apparitions and among them was a group of 30 pilgrims who walked from Rama. Their journey started on Friday, June 23, early in the morning and they came to Medjugorje on Sunday morning, on the Anniversary day.

Fr. Goran Azinovic was the main celebrant of the Holy Mass celebrated at the White Dome at 11 am and that was solemn conclusion of the 6th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities, held from Thursday, June 15. On Sunday, June 25th, we will celebrate the 36th Anniversary of Our Lady’s Apparitions. Holy Masses in Croatian language will be at 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 am, and the solemn Holy Mass will be at 7 pm. At 10 pm, the monthly whole-night Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will begin and the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed until 7 am on the following day.

On Saturday, June 24, on the feast of St. John the Baptist, we celebrate the Eve of Our Lady’s Apparitions in Medjugorje. Traditionally, each year, we will meet outside the monastery of St. Anthony in Humac and begin the walk there. Pilgrims are to arrive outside the St. James’ church at 10 am.

Nearly all the time there are pilgrims climbing the Apparition Hill and praying before the Statue of Our Lady there. Each afternoon, from June 15-23, there is Rosary there at 4 pm. During the day, Holy Masses are celebrated in different languages, and the evening prayer programme starts with the Rosary at 6 pm. Many pilgrims will come for this Anniversary on their feet to Medjugorje and many are coming in these days before the Anniversary.

Peace Walk is a walk of prayer held from Humac to Medjugorje and initiated in 1992. Ever since that year, it is held each year on the Feast of St. John the Baptist, the eve of Our Lady’s Apparitions. In the beginning, the priests carried the Blessed Sacrament, later on the Statue of Our Lady and now they carry crucifix, while all others are praying and walking behind.

The 7th International Pilgrimage of Families was held in Medjugorje from June 16-18, 2017, organised by the Association „Kup Karmel“ from Zagreb. Robert Rukavina organised this pilgrimage in 2010, for the first time, after he had tried organisation of several other pilgrimages with his Association.

At the 6th International Pilgrimage for Persons with Disabilities, held in Medjugorje in these days that finished on June 18, Sr. Marija Klara Klarić from the Merciful Sisters of St. Cross from Djakovo. Sr. Marija Klara, accompanies persons with disabilities along with Sr. Rastislava, and she has been coming to Medjugorje for the last nine years.
