On Saturday, September 1, the timetable of the evening prayer programme is changing in Medjugorje. The new schedule shall remain in force until May 31, the following year. Prayer of Rosary as of September 1 shall begin at 5 pm, while the Holy Mass shall be at 6 pm. After the Holy Mass, the ordinary daily programme shall follow.

On Thursdays, August 16, 33 pilgrims of the “Marian Vow for Homeland” arrived from Mostar to Medjugorje. This is their tenth week and on August 17 they will walk to Metkovic, then Neum and Dubrovnik, where their pilgrimage finsihes on August 22, after walking for 75 days. (photos)

The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 15. Holy Masses in Croatian language will be celebrated in the church of St. James at 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 am and the solemn Holy Mass at 7 pm.

The 29th Youth Festival finished this morning with the Holy Mass of Thanksgiving celebrated at the top of Cross Mountain at 5 am, on August 6, 2018, by Fr. Marinko Sakota, the parish priest. The Youth Festival began on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 and was held with the theme “ Living on the Word of God”, when dozens of thousands of youth from 72 countries gathered. .(photos)
