Seminar for families in Medjugorje

Family Counselling Medjugorje is organising a seminar for families, to be held on September 22, 2018 in the Hall of John Paul II. The seminar will consist of the interactive lectures with workshops in small groups of spouses, as the equal carriers of the family community with all specific and different roles that are mutually connected.

“A FAMILY, PILLAR OF THE SOCIETY – HOW TO RESPOND TO CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES IN OUR TIME?”

On Friday, September 21, 2018, at 8 pm, in the Hall of St. John Paul II, there will be public discussion organised by Family Counselling Centre Medjugorje and parish office Medjugorje, with the theme “A FAMILY, PILLAR OF THE SOCIETY – HOW TO RESPOND TO CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES IN OUR TIME?”

Holy Mass celebrated on Cross Mountain

On September 9, 2018, the Feast of Exaltation of the Holy Cross was celebrated in Medjugorje and this feast in Medjugorje parish is always celebrated on the first Sunday after the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Holy Masses were celebrated in the parish church at 7, 8, 12 and 6 pm. The solemn Holy Mass, celebrated by Fr. Slavko Soldo, along with the parish priest Fr. Marinko Sakota and 27 more priests, was celebrated on Cross Mountain at 11 am. ....(photos)

Chess players from Ruščica in Međugorje

The 15^th Pilgrimage to Medjugorje and Siroki Brijeg of chess club from Ruscica, Croatia, took place this August. They also participated in chess tournament in Medjugorje on that occasion. These players, along with their families, took part in the evening prayer programme, prayer the Rosary on Apparition Hill and the Way of the Cross on Cross Mountain. Parish celebration of the Feast of Exaltation of the Holy Cross

This Sunday, September 9, is the day when the parish of Medjugorje celebrates the feast of Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Holy Masses in the parish church of St. James are scheduled at 7 a.m.,8 a.m.12 p.m. and 6 p.m. Solemn  Holy Mass on Cross Mountain is at 11 a.m. Holy Masses will not be held in the other churches belonging to the parish.

Concert of prayer held in Medjugorje

The Association of the Youth of Brotnjo in cooperation with the parish of Medjugorje, organised the concert of prayer titled “Jesus is calling you!” The concert took place on Sunday, September 2, 2018, after the evening Holy Mass at the grounds of the old parish church. (photos)

Concert of prayer to take place on Sunday in Medjugorje

The Association of the Youth of Brotnjo in cooperation with the parish of Medjugorje is organising concert of prayer titled “Jesus is calling you!” and it will take place on Sunday, September 2, 2018, after the evening Holy Mass. The concert will be held at the grounds of the old parish church, at the roundabout, starting at 7.30 pm.

Change of the timetable of the evening prayer programme in Medjugorje

On Saturday, September 1, the timetable of the evening prayer programme is changing in Medjugorje. The new schedule shall remain in force until May 31, the following year. Prayer of Rosary as of September 1 shall begin at 5 pm, while the Holy Mass shall be at 6 pm. After the Holy Mass, the ordinary daily programme shall follow.

MARIAN VOW FOR HOMELAND arrived to Medjugorje

On Thursdays, August 16, 33 pilgrims of the “Marian Vow for Homeland” arrived from Mostar to Medjugorje. This is their tenth week and on August 17 they will walk to Metkovic, then Neum and Dubrovnik, where their pilgrimage finsihes on August 22, after walking for 75 days.  (photos)

The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Medjugorje

The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 15. Holy Masses in Croatian language will be celebrated in the church of St. James at 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 am and the solemn Holy Mass at 7 pm.
