Venerdì, sabato e domenica si è tenuto a Knock il seminario di Medjugorje. È organizzato dall’Irish Council for Medjugorje, che esiste da trentacinque anni e la cui missione principale è diffondere i messaggi della Regina della Pace.

Martedi 24 novembre si compiono nove anni dalla morte di Padre Slavko Barbarić, il sacerdote che ha dedicato diciotto anni della sua vita alla diffusione dei messaggi della Madonna nel mondo ed alla cura dei pellegrini.

The Archbishop of Vienna, Cardinal Dr. Christoph Schonborn send a message to the youth that arrived from 60 countries to participate at the 25 th International Youth Festival: “Again this summer, with my great joy, I am sending warm greetings to all young people that are in Medjugorje at the moment. Let us all together pray to Gospa that She may be with our Pope Francis, for he desires to renew us all in the joy of the Gospel. May God give him strength that is necessary to thrill us for the Gospel and for the evangelisation. Let us pray with fervour to Gospa, the Queen of Peace, for peace to be established in the Holy Land, in the Middle East and in Ukraine! I am also praying to Gospa to bless you all and to protect you! I am praying that She helps us have deep faith in Jesus in all of the situations of your life. I would like to ask you to please pray for me. I am with you in my heart in these blessed days. Joelle Modard, 21 years old young girl from Switzerland participated in the Youth Festival and this is her 13 th time in Medjugorje. “As a little girl, I used to come here with my parents and I come also in the times when the Festival is not held. Medjugorje is miraculous, I find my peace here and I have many precious memories regarding Medjugorje”, said Joelle about her experience and emphasised that every time she discovers something new. “It is such a powerful confirmation for my life. The spiritual life of the youth in Switzerland is very poor, in every parish there are only one or two young person active in the spiritual life and that is why we decided to have encounters with the youth from our region who are asking for and seeking God’s presence. We are organising the spiritual events because it is better to be in the communion, rather than alone in the parish. Medjugorje is here to show to the youth and to those older ones as well that the faith is still alive. Personally, it helps me live my faith upon my return home. Message of Medjugorje is very strong and encouraging; it invites people to love and to communion. It is nice to see so many people from all over the world. It was very moving to see so many nations coming here to seek for the grace and peace for them and their countries.”

Invochiamo l'intercessione e l'aiuto di Maria nella preghiera, perché la Madre Santa è essa stessa donna di dolore e allo stesso tempo donna di attesa di un mistero che sta per avverarsi. Quando questa pandemia sarà finita e quando ritorneremo alla normalità della nostra vita quotidiana, ricordiamo la cosa più semplice che abbiamo desiderato di più - l'incontro.

There are many pilgrims in Medjugorje at the end of this October and they came from all over the world. The Information Office registered groups from: Italy, Austria, Korea, France, the United States, Germany, Slovenia, Belgium, Ukraine, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Venezuela, Canada, England and Switzerland. Leo Palladinetti comes from Senegalia, region of Ancona in Italy. After he retired as a police officer he started coming to Medjugorje since October 1984. “If I was to honestly say why I am coming here and why do I bring pilgrims, I would not have explanation for my first visit to Medjugorje together with one exorcist priest. But, when I look back at all those years, I can see that Lord and Heavenly Mother had completely clear plan because I do not have any other explanation”, said Leo who said how fruits of Medjugorje are numerous and he sees them in his life as well as in the lives of his friends and pilgrims. One of the fruits is a prayer community that gathers in prayer and the other is little prayer group that prays in the hospital for life, against abortions. “We have prayer community that gathers every second Sunday and the prayer programme is similar to programme in Medjugorje. The other group is active in the hospital. Both of those groups have their spiritual assistant who is a priest. I met many people who were touched by Medjugorje. That is how many prayer groups were founded and all were inspired by the spirituality of Medjugorje. Our local bishop has approved our work, which means a lot to us”, said this Italian pilgrim and added that message of Medjugorje is really strong for the whole world.
