On the feast of the Annunciation, Saturday, March 25, around 80 young people from the parish of Kocerin walked to Medjugorje. The pilgrimage was filled with the prayer, joy and communion. They departed around 8 am, and arrived to Medjugorje around 4 pm. YouFra Kocerin organises each year their pilgrimage to Medjugorje.

Polish people as a nation has special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and many of their pilgrims come to Medjugorje. Jakub Kubica, journalist from Poland was in Medjugorje recently, and he works as the associate of the Polish Informative Catholic Agency. The purpose of his trip here was to visit Medjugorje and to bring impressions to Polish people, prior to the coming of Holy Father’s Special Envoy, Archbishop Hoser.

Graduate students of the Catholic School Centre «St. Joseph», came to Medjugorje on a pilgrimage on March 22, 2017. This trip was on an occasion of their annual trip when they visit various places in Herzegovina, and according to their statements - they were all thrilled by Medjugorje. They visited community Cenacolo and spent some time around the church of St. james.

Mary Fernandez, 56 years old pilgrim from Miami, came to Medjugorje in 1988 for the first time. She is a pilgrim who tirelessly lives messages of Our Lady, and this is her 150th trip to this place of prayer and peace. Mary gave interview to radio Mir Medjugorje and said how her husband knew about Medjugorje before she did, but they never discussed that: „I read a book and learned about Medjugorje in it and I felt I should come here.

The visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo had daily apparitions from June 24th 1981 to December 25th 1982. During the last daily apparition, Our Lady gave her the 10th secret, and told her that she would appear to her once a year, on the 18th of March. It has been this way through the years. (photos)

Maurizio Baldacci, President of Association of Italian leaders to Marian Shrines (AIASM), participated in the 24th International Meeting for Group Leaders held in Medjugorje. He has been coming here since 2006, for these meetings and thinks such encounters are extremely important for formation of leaders of pilgrimages.

At noon today, on February 11th 2017, the feast day of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes, the press office of the Holy See released a statement that the Holy Father, Pope Francis, has nominated a Special Envoy of the Holy See to Medjugorje, his Excellency Msgr. Henryk Hoser, S.A.C, a Polish archbishop and the current Bishop of Warsaw-Prague (Poland).
