On Wednesday, August 2, young people climbed Apparition Hill to pray the Rosary at 6 am and the programme continued at 9 am at the White Dome with the morning prayer led by the Youth Festival Coordinator, Fr. Marinko Sakota, and with the catechesis with the theme of the parable of the sower given by Fr. Danko Perutina, who conducted this Festival for many years and is now the guardian of the monastery in Mostar. Young people had opportunity to hear many motivating testimonies from all over the world. Fr. Martin Filipponi from Switzerland was ordained on May 13, 2017 and his vocation is a fruit of Medjugorje. The second testimony was from Letizia Centorbi from Italy who also introduced her song called „Regina della pace“. Finally, there was a music testimony of brother and a sister from Switzerland, Ezechiel and Rebeca Theler.
After the recess, Fr. Roberto Lopes from Brazil spoke about the Servant of God, Guidu Schaffer. The central part of this day was the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Alen Pajic, newly ordained priest from Herzegovinian Province with 504 priests concelebrating while Fr. Danko Perutina gave a homily. What followed was the prayer before the cross and the Service of the Light. There were 645 724 live stream viewers of the programme from all over the world. On this day, when we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Angels, many priests were available for the sacrament of confession. (photos)
