On Thursday, August 2, the young people were already up at 6 am to pray joyful mysteries on Apparition Hill. The programme of the Festival continued at 9 am at the White Dome with the morning prayer of Fr. Marinko Sakota, the coordinator of the Festival, and continued with the catechesis given by Fr. Ante Vuckovic. In the rest of the morning, the youth had opportunity to hear the inspiring testimonies of different people from the world. Gottfried Prenner, the construction engineer and theologian from Austria spoke first and later on there was the testimony of Rosa Pich, who has 18 children and of Oriol and Caty Vives who have 8 children. Both these sisters come from the family who had 16 children, 10 of them live consecrated lives as priests and nuns. Rosa Pich’s family is the most numerous in the whole Europe.
In the afternoon part of the programme, from 4 pm, famous Croatian athlete, Blanka Vlasic, spoke about her conversion and the experience of faith. The central part of this day was also the evening Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Ante Vuckovic with 548 priests concelebrating. After Holy Mass, the veneration of the Holy Cross and the Service of the Light followed. Also this day, on the Feast of Our Lady of Angels, many priests were available for the sacrament of the reconciliation. Young people, representatives of 72 countries are now in Medjugorje:
