Katica and Franjo Majer, who come from the parish of the Holy Spirit, Jarun, Zagreb, Croatia, took part for the first time in the 16th International Seminar for Married Couples held from July 12-15, 2015 in Medjugorje. Katica said that she came to Medjugorje in 1983, for the first time, long ago when she was a young girl: “I was not sure whether I was religious or not, but I came here with my friend. I have a feeling that something changed within me after I confessed here and my faith was awaken again. I felt that Mother of God embraced me with Her grace. Međugorje means a lot to me, it is strengthening my faith so much and I always feel like I am on a spiritual retreat when I am here. I am really grateful to the Mother of God because of that.” Franjo said that Medjugorje did not mean so much to him in the beginning, but later on he realised that Medjugorje helped him in understanding spiritual dimension of life: “It was through the spirituality of Medjugorje that my faith became clear. There were no more doubts, that is why we are so related to Medjugorje. Last year we took part in the Youth Festival for the first time. The truth is that we are much older than those for whom the Festival is organised, yet we were so pleased to experience that spirit of the youth. Those are just tiny details, but those details helped me to be secure in my faith, not to have any more doubts. Medjugorje for me is the spiritual trigger that initiated my own spirituality after a long time.”
