The pilgrimage symbolically represents the path of the Christian life, the path in which the goal is reached through suffering and effort. The purpose of the pilgrimage can be in asking for something or in thanksgiving related to some received grace or physical need, or simply spiritual refreshment and renewal. Every pilgrimage, under normal circumstances, represents a path that needs to be physically crossed, but in this pandemic year many of us cannot travel, which does not mean that we cannot make a spiritual pilgrimage. Never before like this year have we needed peace, faith and hope so much. And the pilgrimage to Medjugorje has brought exactly these graces to many people.
Aware of the existing needs, we have found a way to bring Medjugorje to your homes – but it will not be done by us, instead Medjugorje pilgrims will do it for Medjugorje pilgrims. This time it is the Spanish-speaking pilgrims who invite us to a spiritual pilgrimage to Medjugorje. From May 29 to 30, 2021, they are organizing an Online Conference on the Fruits of Medjugorje with the theme “By Their Fruits You Will Know Them” (Mt 7:16).
It is often said that Medjugorje looks like a river of pilgrims. Last year, there were no such scenes, bringing tears to every human eye. However, what cannot be disputed are fruits that come from Medjugorje: “The lives of all of us who have been touched by Medjugorje spirituality, all of us who have been changed and encouraged by Medjugorje spirituality…” It is precisely such testimonies of answered prayers and powerful life stories that we will hear at this conference, simultaneously translated into several world languages. Therefore, the last weekend in May, resist worldly restless waves and sail the Medjugorje River of Peace!
