Two-days seminar for girls attending the 1st and 2nd grade of high school was held in Medjugorje, organised by the Franciscan School Sisters from Mostar, and it was completed with the Holy Mass held on Sunday, January 18. The seminar was held in Domus Pacis house and 32 girls from Posusje, Ljubuski, Siroki Brijeg and Gorica-Sovici participated. The Franciscan School Sisters are conducting these seminars for nearly 25 years now. “The greatest encouragement to continue our work comes from feedbacks of these girls who gladly remember these seminars and come again always. That is our biggest hope and joy. The purpose of these seminars is not to attract girls to join our monasteries; at the moment in our monasteries we have 4-5 girls who were regularly attending these seminars. If we are able to help young girls discover their vocation, we are even happier and we will gladly take them. Girls leave seminars and take Medjugorje with them, that is one of the most beautiful experiences. They also make some new, firm friendships”, said Sr. Danijela Brekalo for our radio station and also announced that seminar for girls attending 7th and 8th grade of the elementary school will be held in February and one in March for those from high schools. There will be one for students and those employed young girls. In the six venues we try to cover all ages.”
