Many pilgrims, especially the youth, are expected to come to Medugorje from all over the world for the prayer vigil on New Year’s Eve. The prayer programme begins with the Rosary at 5 pm, followed by the Thanksgiving Holy Mass at 6 pm. After this Holy Mass, Community Cenacolo will give another live Nativity scene performance in the area in front of the church.
The prayer vigil begins at 10 pm, followed by the Holy Mass at 11:30 pm. The whole programme shall be transmitted in the Hall of John Paul II, while radio Mir will broadcast it on radio waves too.
On Sunday, January 1, 2018, we celebrate the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God and Holy Masses are in the parish church at 7, 8, 11 am and at 6 pm. In the local branch churches in Miletina, Vionica and Surmanci, Holy Mass will be at 11 am. After the evening Holy Mass, there will be the last live Nativity scene performance given by the Cenacolo community.
