On Wednesday, December 24, we are celebrating Christmas Eve, when at 6 a.m. the final early Holy Mass was celebrated. The Rosary on Apparition Hill and Novena there was also completed yesterday, while the evening prayer programme begins with Rosary at 5 p.m. Confessions will be held from 4.00-5.30 p.m. as all of the priests need to be ready for the evening Holy Mass when they will all concelebrate. The performance of the live nativity scene will be held after the evening Holy Mass. The Christmas Prayer Vigil begins at 10 p.m. until 11.20. The Midnight Holy Mass begins at 11.30 p.m.
On Thursday, December 25, we celebrate Christmas and the Holy Masses are held at 7, 8, 11 a.m. and at 6 p.m. in the church of St. James. Holy Masses in the branch churches in Vionica, Surmanci and Miletina will be held at 10 a.m. As according to the tradition, parishioners will come to the parish office facilities after the main Holy Mass at 11 a.m. The whole night Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will not take place due to Christmas.
On Friday, December 26, we are celebrating the Feast of St. Stephen, the first martyr. Holy Masses will be held only in the parish church at 8,11 a.m. and at 6 p.m.
On Saturday, December 27, we are celebrating the Feast of St. John. Holy Masses in the parish church will be at 8 a.m. and at 1 and 6 p.m. On the same day, there will be Christmas concert in the Hall of the Holy John Paul II at 7.30 p.m. The following performers will participate in this great concert of Medjugorje parish: main choir of St. James' parish, Tedi Spalato, Ivan Mikulić, Tambourine orchestra "Vranac", Jelena Kordić, Franciscan Youth Medjugorje, Tambourine orchestra"Misericordia", guitar players... Let us come and rejoice together with Christmas carols and songs!
On Sunday, December 28, we are celebrating the Holy Innocents and Holy Family feast. Along with the regular prayer programme, there will be Holy Mass at 3 p.m. for children and their parents and immediately afterwards the performance of the live nativity scene. Holy Mass for children at 9.30 a.m. will not take place on that day.
