On March 15, 2015, a ceremony of vows and promises took place as part of the Holy Mass at 9.30 a.m., when new members were welcomed into the Fraternity of the Third Franciscan Order in Medjugorje. Thus the fraternity gained seven new members who made permanent vows, three made temporary vows and twelve members were introduced into the Novitiate. The spiritual assistant of the fraternity, Fr. Ivan Landeka Jr. was the main celebrant, and Fr. Goran Azinovic, whose mother was among the members who entered the Novitiate, gave a homily. How beautiful and symbolic! Let us also mention that among the children who sang in the Children’s Choir, as well as the altar boys, were sons and daughters of the new members of the fraternity. Minister Jure Cilic received the vows: the witnesses were Vice Minister Lucijana Pervan and Formation Master Tereza Martinovic. The whole ceremony was filled with the emotions of joy, pleasure and contentment which radiated on the faces of all those gathered there, while a strong sense of communion and harmony was evident within the whole fraternity.
Lord, we thank you for these gifts and grant that our fraternity, through the intercession of St. Francis, may grow, develop and become bigger and stronger each year! (photos)
