“Coming to Medjugorje was joy incomparable to anything else”

date: 08.08.2012.

Journalists of radio station “Mir” Medjugorje have chosen couple of interesting testimonies among so many young people who were in Medjugorje at Youth Festival last week, representing around 70 different countries. Young people from Ruanda came to Medjugorje for the first time and they shared their experience with all listeners of radio “Mir”. Fidelis Nsengiyunva is a Franciscan priest in Ruanda. He was happy to come to Medjugorje and to Europe for the first time.
“I heard about Medjugorje and apparitions of the Queen of Peace long ago. In cooperation with Ivica Perić, Franciscan priest who came from Bosnia and lives in Ruanda now, we decided to come to Medjugorje.” He said how young people were happy in prayer.
Fortunee Mukaneza is a principle in one elementary school. “Coming to Medjugorje was joy incomparable to anything else. I am going to bring many things to youth in Ruanda hoping that they will come and see how Holy Eucharist is celebrated here.”
Ten young people came from Slavonia, region on north of Croatia, by bicycles to this International Youth Festival. They started their journey on Thursday, July 26th and arrived one day before the Festival began, the evening of introduction – July 31st.  “We are so delighted to see this many young people at one place, you can really see communion.”
Fran Darer, Josip Jurcevic and Kresimir Babic walked from Zagreb, Croatia. They started their journey on July 17 and Josip was the one who initiated this trip. Through web site “Paths of grace”, that he co-founded, he started this pilgrimage to Medjugorje from Zagreb and he was looking for interested people through Internet. It is interesting that these pilgrims did not know each other before: “This is grace of God, we did not know each other before. We started our trip after the evening Holy Mass, not knowing what to expect”, they said and thanked everyone who helped them during this trip.
