Cardinal De Donatis at the opening of the Youth Festival: I am bringing you the warm greetings and blessings of the Holy Father

Press conference to be held in Medjugorje prior to the Youth Festival

Cardinal Angelo De Donatis, Vicar General of Rome, will be the main celebrant of the opening Holy Mass on Thursday, August 1, while the closing Holy Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Rino Fisichella, the President of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelisation.

St. James, patron of the parish, celebrated in Medjugorje

On the Feast of St. James the Apostle, July 25, patron of Medjugorje parish, solemn Holy Mass was at 11 am in the garden in the vicinity of the church. The procession with the statute of St. James followed from the church to the garden, and the Apostolic Visitor for Medjugorje parish, Henryk Hoser, was the main celebrant of this Holy Mass. He said that the parishioners of Medjugorje parish have the great responsibility for hospitality and help for all those who come to Medjugorje and seek for the source of God’s grace. (PHOTO)

Golden Jubilee celebration

The Apostolic Nuncio to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Archbishop Luigi Pezzuto was the main celebrant of the evening Holy Mass on July 24, when five Franciscans from Herzegovina Franciscan Province, Fr. Ivan Dugandžić, Fr. Tomislav Pervan, Fr. Ante Kutleša, serving in Međugorje, and Fr. Vitomir Musa serving in Široki Brijeg and Fr. Ante Leko in Posušje, celebrated their golden jubilee of priesthood. Celebration of St. James’ Feast, patron saint of Medjugorje parish

On Thursday, July 25, we will celebrate the Feast of St. James the Great, patron saint of Medjugorje parish. Holy Masses are going to be celebrated at 7, 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. while the central celebration will be at 11 a.m. in the Garden opposite to the ruins of the old church.

The procession with the statue of St. James will begin at 10.45 a.m. and parishioners of Vionica will have the honour to carry the statue this year.
