In June 2005, Chris Rogers (journalist and newsreader) and Matt Writtle (photographer, winner of several photographic awards) came from the UK to make a photo-reportage about Medjugorje for “The Times Magazine”. For Chris, it was like coming back home after 15 years. Matt came to Medjugorje for the first time. Višnja Spajić spoke with them for Radio “Mir” Medjugorje.

On June 12, a day before the Feast of St. Anthony, a group of secondary school directors and professors from Zagreb (Croatia) came to Medjugorje. They participated in the Sunday Mass celebration, and in the evening, they visited Cross Mountain and Apparition Hill.

On Thursday, June 9, the leaders of the Croatian Academy of Science and Art came to Medjugorje.
The President of the Academy Milan Moguš, the Secretary General of the Academy Slavko Cvetnić, and the secretary prof. dr. Slobodan Kaštela led the delegation. President Moguš expressed his joy for coming for the first time in a place where so many are converted and where s many pour out their prayers to God through Mary.

Mons. Salvatore Boccaccio, bishop of the diocese Frosinone near Rome, was on a private pilgrimage in Medjugorje from June 4 to 7, 2005. During his stay, he visited the places of prayer and participated in the liturgical and prayer programme in the parish church. He also met the Medjugorje Franciscans.
