The 17th Anniversary of Fr. Slavko’s death was commemorated last night in the parish church of St. James, with the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Walter Mixa, OFM, German Bishop Emeritus, while Fr. Petar Ljubicic gave the homily, along with 10 other priests who concelebrated at this Holy Mass.
Fr. Slavko died on Cross Mountain on November 24, 2000. He tirelessly worked with pilgrims since 1982, and his books were translated to more than 20 languages and printed all over the world.
Fr. Slavko was also remembered yesterday on Cross Mountain, when Fr. Marinko Sakota, the parish priest, led the prayer of the Way of the Cross with many faithful participating. (photos)
