On Thursday, December 29, after evening prayer programme, very unusual, but special book was presented in the Hall of John Paul II in Medjugorje. The author of the book is professor of art, Mr. Hubert Theler from Switzerland. The book “Living Stones from Medjugorje” was already presented in Switzerland and many got interested in Medjugorje through that.
The book “Living Stones from Medjugorje” was developed in the period of many years and it is the fruit of love of one artist towards Gospa – the Queen of Peace in Medjugorje.
Since 2003, Hubert Theler has been coming to Medjugorje with his family on regular basis. He climbed Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain with Rosary in his hands and as he climbed paths of bare nature that God created, he began to notice something unusual. His skilled, artistic eye was able to see human faces on rocks that were polished by bare feet of millions of pilgrims. Since he was passionate writer and photographer, he carried camera and notebook all the time, and therefore he felt the need to capture these faces on stones. Hubert was doing that patiently for more than twelve years. The photographs and chosen messages of Our Lady were combined and this book is printed at the same time in six different languages: Croatian, Italian, English, German, French and Spanish. All profit made of the book goes to the Association “Fr. Slavko Barbaric” Medjugorje. (photos)
