First days of March in Medjugorje

date: 05.03.2017.

According to the information gathered in the Information Office, groups of pilgrims came in these first days of March from the following countries: Ukraine, Columbia, the United States, England, Korea, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Latvia, Slovenia and Romania. Besides these groups, the International Meeting for Group Leaders, Organisers of Pilgrimages, Leaders of Peace Centres, Prayer and Charity groups related to Medjugorje gathered participants from 28 countries. Holy Masses were celebrated in Croatian, as well as in some other languages. This is the period when we follow the schedule of winter prayer programme, and this schedule remains until June 1.

Vladimir Hromek from Slovakia was here, too. As he said, he has been coming to Medjugorje for several years now, first as a pilgrim and now as an organiser of pilgrimages. “I came here in 1991, for the first time and that was a profound experience for me. I began to pray the Rosary each day and to fast on Wednesdays and Fridays. It is a huge responsibility to bring pilgrims here. I need to experience Medjugorje myself and to bring that to other people”, said Vladimir. (photos)
