Mariasela Álvarez Lebrón from the Dominican Republic, Miss World 1982, came on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje. According to tradition, she received all the sacraments as a child, but she began to live her faith only about six years ago.
Although she had heard about Medjugorje already in the 80’s, she is now here for the first time, and her experience is stronger that the one she had in Fatima or in Lourdes.
As the most beautiful girl in the world, she has not chosen a career of a photo model or of an actress, but graduated in architecture. She is working on television, is married and is mother of four children.
She made the experience that “science does not have the answers we are looking for. The society we live in, is not offering the answers to all the challenges that we are facing. Only God can give this.” (Interview: preparing)
